The beach and the countryside; culture and adventure; past, present and future; all of that is part of the city of Granada, the last bastion of Muslim Al-Andalus, retaken in 1492 by the Catholic Monarchs.

This wonderful city is located in the foothills of Sierra Nevada, one of the most amazing regions of the peninsula for winter sports.

Granada is famous for its history, art and lookout points, from where we can admire breathtaking views. Moreover, visitors should feel at home when going out for some tapas around the city centre, or walking about with no particular direction in mind along the whitewashed streets of the well-known quarter of Albaicín, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994.

We must not forget about art and culture, since the city is home to many attractions, not only the Alhambra or the Generalife, which by all means deserve a visit, but also the magnificent Royal Chapel (the mausoleum of the Catholic Monarchs), the Science Park or the Sacromonte Abbey. In addition, both locals and outsiders will enjoy some of the pure flamenco shows in Sacromonte, where gypsies, who claim to have “duende” or a magic charm, have lived for centuries in cave-homes carved in the rocks.
